Due to the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic, we had to postpone the face-to-face OTT Conference 2020 in Berlin, but we did not want to miss the opportunity to connect with our colleagues and friends from around the world. While we will not be replacing our yearly face-to-face event, we feel that incorporating digital spaces to meet will allow us to meet more often and be joined by those who cannot travel every year.

The OTT Conference 2020: the online event, took place in March/April 2020. The main theme of the conference was think tanks and technology. The online event brought together over 100 thinktankers, think tank scholars, policy entrepreneurs and think tanks funders from around the world.

You can read more about what went on here: www.onthinktanks.org/FirstOnlineEventReport The online event tried to replicate the spaces of exchange in our face-to-face conferences. There were four kind of spaces for participants to attend:

• Keynotes
• Parallel sessions
• Networking spaces
• Exhibition booths

About On Think Tanks: On Think Tanks focuses on a range of issues of relevance and interest to think tanks as well as their staff and supporters. We hope that our initiatives and the articles and resources we publish will support think tanks to be more strategic in the ways they make short and long-term decisions; and that this will result in better policy advice and policy outcomes for all.
