Dr. András Rácz is a Senior Fellow in the Security and Defense Program of the German Council of Foreign Relations (DGAP). In the interview, he explains why the Belarusian secret service KGB likely opted for such a highly visible operation and how Russia has gained more influence on the (non-EU-recognized) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. According to him, it is highly unlikely that Russian authorities were not aware of Roman Protasevich's abduction.
