In the wake of COP29 – the 29th Conference of the Parties of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22 – we will look at the results, impressions, and recommendations that our panelists are taking away from this summit. Climate finance was among the most pressing issues as a new goal has to be agreed to provide funding for mitigation, adaptation, and loss and damages in developing countries. What is more, US President elect Donald Trump is expected to radically reduce, if not altogether halt, American contributions. Together with our panelists, we will discuss what Germany can do during these difficult times for climate action.
