The topic of Europe's relations with African countries has taken a back seat recently. Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine, other international conflicts including in Israel/Gaza, tensions between the EU and the United States, and, last but not least, increasing divisions within societies have led to a shift in priorities. But these developments all impact Europe’s relations with Africa. Please join us for a discussion of how experts from Africa assess the prospects for the continent in the current environment. We will explore where Europe’s priorities should be and whether we need to change our mindset with regard to Africa – also with China in mind.
