The paper presentations tackled, among others, changes in the internal dynamics, structures and power distributions inside the movements. Also the political, social and economic agenda and Islamist viewpoints on the nature of the state and civil and political rights were adressed, just as their foreign policy orientation. Eventually, the EU’s policies towards these new actors were examined as well.
