DGAP’s Research Institute regularly brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. On October 29, hours before the two-day EU-Canada Summit begins in Montreal, we will explore current opportunities for Canadian-European partnership as both sides face a range of geopolitical challenges – not least their changing relationship with the United States and Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine. Given European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s offer of an “associate membership of the European Union” to Canada, we will assess the potential for closer cooperation in areas such as industry and trade, critical raw materials, and security and defense.

Please register here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the DGAP Morning Briefing via Zoom.
