Session of the Russia/Eastern Partnership Discussion Group.

Media and propaganda have become crucial in shaping the public’s perception of what happened in Ukraine and who is responsible for the conflict between Russia and the West. Russia has employed hybrid tactics not only in the annexation of Crimea and the war in Eastern Ukraine but also in influencing the public discourses in EU member states. How much influence does Russian media really have in the EU, and what methods are being used? How should the EU and its member states respond?
