Every Thursday morning at 8:30, DGAP’s Research Institute brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in geopolitics. This week, we will assess the geopolitical implications of Hamas’ attack on Israel. We begin by taking account of the current situation in the region and discuss international responses. We aim to identify cross-cutting dynamics that this conflict has for international security more broadly, and evaluate the region’s mid-term outlook. Central to our discussion will be the role and influence of other powers in the conflict, particularly the United States, Iran, and Russia, as well as Germany and Europe.
