Every Thursday morning at 8:30, DGAP’s Research Institute brings together high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in geopolitics. Our experts assess the pressing issues of the week and how to tackle them.

This week, we will discuss the new phase of the war in Ukraine following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of the partial mobilization of reservists, and his nuclear threats. We’ll be discussing the reactions of Russian society, including protests and massive fleeing of men across borders, and how it could affect the stability of Putin’s regime. We will also assess the staged referendums in the occupied regions of Ukraine, and Russia’s policy of repression there.
