DGAP’s Research Institute regularly brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. This Thursday, we will explore expectations and challenges for the European Council meeting on June 18 and 19 in Brussels. It takes place at an interesting moment when several developments come together. Hungary’s change of government has set the formal opening of the first accession cluster for Ukraine and Moldova in motion. Leaders will discuss the size of the EU’s next long-term budget and also focus on fair competition and the European position vis-à-vis China. All these issues are linked to larger questions about the EU’s geopolitical posture, enlargement, and prosperity.

Please register here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the DGAP Morning Briefing via Zoom. Participants will be able to ask questions via Zoom’s question and answer function during the discussion. You will find information related to data processing at https://dgap.org/en/zoom. Please note that this event will be recorded.

For any questions, please contact events@dgap.org.

Sincerely yours,

Jan Stöckmann
