Economic coercion, exercised by President Donald Trump’s United States, and China’s hyper-mercantilism are threatening to erode Europe’s economic future. The EU needs to address this not only with fighting talk, but also by responding at the structural and policy level. With our guests, we’ll be discussing how the EU and its member states can better decide on strategic questions and often difficult trade-offs and assert themselves in the new age of economic statecraft–the theme of IPQ’s latest issue which marks its fifth anniversary.
