Every Thursday morning at 8:30, DGAP’s Research Institute brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in geopolitics. This week, we will focus on the Russian war in Ukraine. First, we will discuss expectations for the long-anticipated Ukrainian counteroffensive. Second, we will assess the internal stability of Putin’s regime and the role of Prigozhin’s Wagner Group. Then, we will turn to the West. While Western support has been indispensable, there are signs of war fatigue across the Atlantic alliance. How could NATO’s relations with Ukraine evolve after the next summit of its heads of state and government that will take place in Vilnius this July?

This edition of DGAP’s Morning Briefing on Geopolitical Challenges will take place in the framework of the German Forum on Security Policy 2023 held by the Federal Academy for Security Policy from May 22 to 26.
