DGAP’s Research Institute regularly convenes experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. On December 4, we will turn our attention to China, as Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is expected to embark on a trip that was cancelled in October. Meanwhile, Beijing is fighting out a dispute with Tokyo, following comments by Japan’s new prime minister Sanae Takaichi on Taiwan. Gathering on-the-ground perspectives from Japan, Taiwan, China, and Germany, we will make sense of these developments and discuss China policy going forward.
