Three and a half years after the British referendum on EU membership, the UK is still a member of the EU. A withdrawal agreement has been negotiated but not yet ratified. So far, the UK has asked for three extensions from the EU.

Join us for a web talk on the upcoming general election in the UK on December 12 and what it means for Brexit. We will discuss if Brexit will actually “get done” after the election, what comes next in the relationship between the UK and the EU, and how the economic relationship and cooperation on foreign and security policy will develop.

All participants will be able to ask questions to the speakers through the Q&A function of the web talk.

Speakers:

Anand Menon

Director of The UK in a Changing Europe and

Professor of European politics and foreign affairs at King’s College London

Jill Rutter

Senior research fellow of The UK in a Changing Europe at King’s College London

Chair:

Rainer Rudolph

Senior policy fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP)
