Russia’s recent military buildup along the Eastern borders of Ukraine and on the occupied Crimean Peninsula resulted in Russian troop concentration that was larger than anything deployed there since the devastating battles of 2014 and 2015. Meanwhile, the Donbass peace talks seem to be deadlocked and various Western diplomatic efforts to defuse the crisis so far – including in the so-called Normandy format led by Germany and France - have born no fruit.

Our invited experts will shed light on the political and military aspects of the crisis and give their assessments on possible long-term outcomes.

The event will be held in English on Zoom. Participants will be able to contribute via audio throughout the discussion. You will find information related to data processing at https://dgap.org/de/zoom. Please note that this event will be recorded.
