Dr. Markus Jaeger is a fellow at DGAP. He works from Berlin and New York, where continues to teach at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Prior to joining DGAP, Jaeger was a research director at Deutsche Bank in New York, where he was in charge of US economic research and financial markets analysis. He had previously been involved in the bank’s research activities in the fields of geopolitical and country risk analysis for nearly two decades.
Jaeger has been a visiting scholar at the European University Institute in Italy and a visiting fellow at Casa das Garças in Brazil. He studied at the University of Heidelberg and Sciences Po and earned a master’s degree and his doctorate from the London School of Economics.
