Dina Fakoussa-Behrens was an associate fellow at DGAP from March 2020 to April 2023. Previously, she had served as head of its Middle East and North Africa Program, formerly the EU-Middle East Forum, since March 2011.

Before that, Fakoussa-Behrens worked as a program and project manager on issues regarding political and economic reform, democratization, human and women’s rights, media, strengthening civil society, and culture in the Arab region.
