International Futures

The INTERNATIONAL FUTURES programme is designed as a "diplomatic trip around the world". Participating countries are Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa and Germany.

INTERNATIONAL FUTURES, a two-week programme of the yearly four-month 'Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy', is conducted by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the Federal Foreign Office.
The MGG Academy is the training format of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) programme.
It is mainly funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE).
In this way it exemplifies how different ministries within the German government are jointly supporting global dialogue.

It is the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) effort, through its cooperation with Training for International Diplomats , to consciously build networks between young leaders from around the world in the spheres of diplomacy and academia, as well as politics and civil society.
Together, the participants explore the opportunities and challenges for diplomacy in the age of globalization and discuss the role of global governance in today's world.

The goal of INTERNATIONAL FUTURES is to create a global community of responsibility, by connecting young talents and imparting vital skills for joint leadership.
