  1. Glossary

The project “The Role of Returnee Networks in Reintegration: Opportunities and Limits” aims to generate knowledge on returnee networks and their role in the reintegration of returning migrants. It also seeks to foster exchange among returnee networks, experts, policymakers, and other relevant groups.

The project is focused on two questions: what role can former returnees and their networks play in the reintegration of migrants and which positive and negative effects can come from engaging them? It works with country case studies and on-the-ground experiences to develop recommendations for how to support such networks.

The project is implemented by DGAP’s Migration Program and supported by Germany’s Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH, of behalf of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
