Our Mission
The Think Tank Lab was founded in 2021 to support the co-creative advancement of the German think tank landscape. As a platform and driver for a new understanding of think tanking as a practice and profession, the Think Tank Lab pursues three overarching goals:
- Strengthening peer learning and cooperation in and between think tanks,
- Qualification of think tank personnel by offering tailor-made training opportunities,
- Fostering impact-oriented think tank work by crowdsourcing good practices and testing new approaches to think tanking.
While, initially, our activities are primarily aimed at think tanks and policy-oriented research institutes based in Germany, we also seek to promote exchange with the wider European and international think tank community.
