As part of our 10th Anniversary activities – and only one day after the close of the Munich Security Conference 2018 – we are delighted to present an “off-the-record” discussion of some of its key findings on the future of the transatlantic partnership: In a moderated discussion, former US State Department official Dr. Amanda Sloat will focus on President Trump’s National Security Strategy and the current foreign policy challenges facing his administration.

Dr. Amanda Sloat is a Robert Bosch senior fellow in the Center on the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institution. She is also a nonresident fellow in the Ash Center at Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Sloat served in the US government for nearly a decade, most recently as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Southern Europe and Eastern Mediterranean Affairs at the State Department. In this role, she was responsible for US relations with Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey as well as for coordinating European engagement on Middle East issues.

This event will be held in English.
