Qatar and Germany have experienced good bilateral relations that have expanded rapidly over the past two decades, politically, economically and increasingly in the cultural and social spheres. His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Germany, will explain in an exclusive lecture the cornerstones of Qatari foreign policy. The lecture focuses on Qatari's initiatives in the fields of "Cultural" and "Sports Diplomacy". We want to find out more about the possibilities of how Germany and Qatar can cooperate even more closely in the future, especially in the areas of culture, sport and innovation. After a first moderated part, the discussion will be opened to the public. The event will be moderated by Jeremias Kettner, The Arabic Cultural House – “Divan”.
The event will be part of the series "Ambassador's Briefing". It offers Young DGAP members interested in foreign policy the opportunity to get to know current political developments and key questions of the foreign policy of different states from the perspective of their respective diplomatic representatives in Berlin. After the conversation, you are invited to a small reception.
