In light of the changing geopolitical environment and the growing economic and security challenges in Central Asia, the EU launched a review process of its Central Asia Strategy in 2015. The complex geopolitical and economic environment of the Central Asia states is currently connected to the region’s fragile socio-economic situation. Can EU strategy adapt to the growing problems in the region? Which synergies can be achieved for sustainable development in Central Asia? What are the priorities from the perspective of Central Asian states, in particular Kazakhstan?
